Measuring Smart Mobility in Orange County and Inland Empire, CA

Summary:
In this project, I used location quotient, location analysis and network analysis to study the smart mobilities in Orange County and Inland Empire in California. The smart mobility is measured through three dimensions: highway network completeness, public transit linkage, and telecommunication development. The research shows that despite OC has a stronger highway network connectivity, OC and IE show very similar dis/advantages in their physical and virtual connectivity. Both regions have strong highway network and telecommunication development. However, their public transit connectivity fall largely behind the national standard. (Link to the full report.)
